Master’s hosts annual Career Fair under the Oaks
The Master’s University hosted its annual Fall Career Fair under the oaks Wednesday afternoon. Over 90 businesses from around the country came to present their organizations and accept job applications. The majority of the businesses were local, but there was a small representation from out of state as well. This gave out-of-state students the opportunity to find jobs closer to home.
Timberlie Miller works in career services and development and stated, “We put together the career fair for students and employers to connect with each other, but also for employers to meet students who are looking for job opportunities—especially in the fall, less are hiring, but it’s really good for networking.”
From the opposite side of the country, Beth, a recruiter from Berea Ministries, came to the fair in search of summer help.
“Berea Ministries is located in New England, we have two camps in New Hampshire and one in Maine. And we love that because New England is one of the least churched areas of the country,” she said. “So we get to minister there. And we’re looking to staff our summer.”
Brea Ministries attended the career fair in the spring of 2025 and had a great experience hiring TMU students so they decided to come back because hiring from TMU has its benefits.
“We’re all kind of under the same mission in vision… It comes down to essentially seeing everybody who comes take one step closer to Jesus, wherever they're coming from,” she said.
Many students spoke about the encouraging nature of the career fair. Couple Collin and Olivia Loveland said, “Sometimes you feel like a small fish in a big pond, but I think just having this career fair is really helpful to get your name out there and kind of experience what it might be like to work in the workplace.”
TMU senior Kai Tarentieff is studying to get his B.A. in sport management. He attended the career fair and got connected with several private Christian schools about job opportunities either coaching or leading the athletic department.
“This is a great event,” he said. “Free snacks, donuts and job opportunities. What more do you need?”

Students heading to Singapore for ‘internship’ GO! Trip

At the end of May, a group of 16 students will travel to Singapore for five weeks to learn about being Christians in the marketplace and being a part of the local church. The trip, led by students Matthew Radmilovich and Ella Chung under the oversight of TMU provost, Dr. Mitch Hopewell, is the first trip sent by TMU to Singapore.
